A carpet of fallen maple leaves

Head in the Clouds

Head in the clouds, leaves at my feet.

These words came to me one autumn day many years ago, while pondering the brilliant sugar maple leaves strewn about the ground. Ever since, the phrase echoes in my mind — when I hike, while I drive, or as I look into the sky on a clear fall day. I am grounded in this time and place, yet my mind wanders endlessly. It reminds me that I am just a traveler like everyone else; I am in the world, but just passing through it.

Although I’ve been creating websites for years, I’ve never made my own online place to catalog travels, share thoughts, or save little bits of curiosity. This is that place. Thank you for visiting.
